Well I got started on melting the stick on Wheel Weights, but I ran out of daylight so I’ll try and finish them tomorrow.
In other news, Monika and I took the Mountain Bikes out to New Melones Reservoir and got in a nice ride this morning. My odometer on that bike died a ugly death so I don’t know how far we went MAP I believe we did the “Carson Creek” and the “Tower Climb” trails.
Monika saw a nice 3′ Gopher Snake and we both saw some huge fish (I’ll try and get some photos later) in one of coves. I suspect they were spawning bass but I dont’ know for sure. The lake does have some BAT’s (Big Assed Trout) in it and since we were on the trail about 20-30 yards above the lake I can not be sure.
I do have a fishing license and I may head back sometime this week if I get a chance.
The Buzz Worms are out, a friend of Monika’s that we met out there today had one “Buzz” while he was out. That being the case I don’t think I’ll take Cinnamon with me if I go back.
Might need to check into the Rattlesnake “Vaccine” they have at the vets. Might be worth it. My FIL’s dog got bit last year, she survived but the vet said she got lucky. Though the distance between the teeth on the leg pointed to a larger snake, the dog did not get a large venom load.
Anytime you go outside around here you can run into a rattlesnake. We have found them in the front and back yards and neighbors have found them as well. Not many but they have been found. Anywhere up in the hills or out by the lake is a good spot to find them. Spring, summer and fall you have to be careful where you put your hands or if your a dog your nose.
